Oh my, what fun jumping is. Mommy set up my jump swing, and it's giggle and bouncey until I can't go anymore. I had no idea how to even jump just a few minutes ago. Now there's no stopping me. I also realized I can jump in other toys I already have. Bouncey, bouncey, bouncey. Maybe tonight I'll be nice and tired from all this exercise. Mommy, Daddy, and I woke up 4 times last night. There was just too many other things to do than sleep last night. But, don't worry about me...I'll nap later.

Crib Scootin' Boogie
The last couple of mornings, mommy has heard cute little coos and giggles coming from the baby's room. Chesney is a very happy and loving baby, particularly in the morning.
Wandering in after a few minutes, I have found that my sweet little baby girl has ditched her warm, a once tight swaddle for crib exploration. First she realized how much fun rolling over can be, now there's no stopping the back scootin' boogie.

Silly daddy
Silly daddy finds ways to entertain the baby girl.
Sometimes I think he's having more fun that he will admit.

Family heirloom
When Chesney was born, she originally slept in a cozy swing beside mommy's bed. Soon, she moved into the lacy bassinet which played pretty music and tickled when it vibrated.
And then, just before Christmas, the family cradle arrived.
The cradle was built in 1880 by Geat Great Grampa, Dr. Charles Schott M.D. for his youngest son Darwin Schott M.D. It was used by Darwin's two children, Louise in 1907 an Charles in 1913. It was used by all three of his grandchildren: Karen in 1936, Roberta in 1938, and Catherine in 1956. It then rocked Darwin's six great grandchildren including Kristin and her two sisters, Susan and Sandy. Moving into the fifth generation, you can see how excited we were to add the fifth great great grand baby to the long list of names adorning the side of the cradle.
